This achievement, supported by analysis from Arthur D. Little, indicates that the primary technical barriers to large-scale production are largely resolved. Industry experts now suggest that achieving production costs below €10 per kilogram is a matter of timing rather than feasibility. The sector is shifting its focus from scientific experimentation to commercialization, regulatory approval, and consumer demand. Companies are increasingly moving away from building individual facilities toward using specialized supply chains and shared manufacturing infrastructure. While challenges regarding market access and consumer adoption remain, the industry is transitioning toward a model centered on scaling proven processes to achieve economic viability.
