Anterra Capital has secured 100 million dollars for its third fund, which aims to reach a total of 200 million dollars to invest in artificial intelligence within the food and agriculture sectors. Although global investment in this industry has decreased significantly since its 2021 peak, funding for deep technology remains strong. The firm intends to support companies that use artificial intelligence to digitize operations and improve research and development efficiency. This strategy follows a period of market instability where many capital intensive businesses failed to achieve profitability. Anterra Capital is now prioritizing companies with sustainable economic models that integrate into existing infrastructure. According to the firm, the current market conditions allow for more selective investments at realistic valuations, providing an opportunity to apply new technologies to modernize traditional agricultural systems.
