Vivici, a startup producing beta-lactoglobulin whey protein via precision fermentation, has integrated “Enduro Sense” technology from Enduro Genetics. This technology increased Vivici’s production titers, which measure product concentration, and yields, which measure conversion efficiency, by 30% within five months, using existing processes and feedstock. Enduro Sense functions by genetically modifying production cells to link their survival to high production of the target substance. This ensures only high-producing cells proliferate, enhancing unit economics and allowing for extended bioproduction periods. The technology uses native DNA, does not alter the production pathway, and is designed to meet regulatory frameworks, supporting Vivici’s efforts to scale production efficiently.
