Dutch food-tech company Revyve has raised nearly €24 million in Series B financing, bringing its total funding to over €40 million, to expand the production and distribution of its functional yeast proteins. These proteins are designed to replace eggs and other additives in food products like bakery, sauces, and meat alternatives. The ingredients are marketed as a natural, sustainable, and cost-competitive solution for food manufacturers facing challenges such as volatile egg prices, consumer demand for cleaner labels, and a need to reduce their carbon footprint. The new investment, co-led by ABN AMRO Sustainable Impact Fund and Invest-NL, will enable the company to expand output from its first commercial-scale facility in the Netherlands to over 1,600 tons per year and serve larger customers worldwide.
