The fact that this election cycle has featured so much animal news is largely just a coincidence. But it’s not entirely coincidental.Plant-based meat, cultivated meat and other alternative proteins have grown in prominence and visibility over the last several years. While this is a very promising trend from an environmental standpoint, it’s also created a notable backlash among some meat-eaters.
