Cultivated meat company Gourmey has achieved a significant regulatory milestone in the United Kingdom, becoming the first cell-cultivated meat company globally to have its application validated by both the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and Food Standards Scotland (FSS). This validation initiates Gourmey’s regulatory assessment process in the UK, building on previous validations from the EU’s EFSA and Switzerland’s FSVO. The company’s participation in the UK’s regulatory Sandbox for cell-cultivated products is further accelerating its path to market.
