Indian cultivated meat startup Biokraft Foods has secured approximately $230,000 in pre-seed funding led by GVFL. The company plans to use the funds to develop and market ethical, high-quality cultivated meat products in India. Biokraft has already created cultivated chicken using proprietary 3D bioprinting and has also unveiled cultivated trout. The company recently hosted a culinary competition and tasting events to promote its products, with the goal of building a sustainable food system that addresses the climate impact, animal welfare, and inefficiencies of conventional meat production.
