Israeli cultivated meat startup Aleph Farms has established Singapore as its Asia-Pacific hub through a strategic partnership with contract manufacturer Cell Agritech, facilitating an “asset-light” approach to regional expansion. By setting up a legal entity in Singapore, the company aims to leverage the city-state’s innovation and regulatory ecosystem while utilizing Cell Agritech’s manufacturing infrastructure in Malaysia for cost-efficient scale-up. This hub-and-spoke model enables Aleph Farms to avoid capital-intensive construction projects as it awaits regulatory approval for its hybrid “Petit Steak.” Targeting a market launch by 2027, the move positions the company to integrate into the local supply chain and utilize Singapore as a launchpad for broader Asian distribution.
