Alex Shirazi, a prominent figure in the cultivated meat industry, has launched “A Scientist’s Cookbook,” a Kickstarter-backed project. Shirazi recognized a need to demonstrate how cultivated meat could be cooked and used in everyday kitchens, moving beyond theoretical discussions. The cookbook aims to provide practical applications for these products, which are nearing commercial availability, for any curious home cook. This initiative follows his previous children’s book, “Where Do Hot Dogs Come From?”, which introduced younger audiences to cultivated meat. Shirazi also co-founded the Cultured Meat Symposium, a conference whose brand has recently been acquired by FutureProof Group, allowing him to dedicate more time to projects like the cookbook.
