IntegriCulture, a Japanese cellular agriculture company, has received funding from Niigata Venture Capital’s Regional Revitalization Niigata Fund II to develop infrastructure using regional brewing expertise and resources like sake lees. The investment, undisclosed in value, will support cosmetics ingredient development, regional partnerships, and technology research. IntegriCulture is collaborating with local partners such as Ichimasa Kamaboko and Tsunan Brewery to apply cell cultivation to food, cosmetics, and materials. The company plans to expand its infrastructure platform, recruit business customers, and establish partnerships to support regional innovation. IntegriCulture is also working with Sumitomo Riko to develop production equipment, including a 2-liter cell-culture bag capable of producing 1kg per month. The company aims to file for regulatory approval in Singapore in 2026 and is transitioning from research and development to commercial implementation under new management.
