Meatly, a supplier of lab-grown chicken cells for pet food, is preparing for significant expansion within the next three to five years, buoyed by the favorable regulatory environment in the UK for the cultivated protein sector. CEO Owen Ensor highlighted that the company’s core ingredient has been successfully propagated, generating its current product from a single vial of fertilized chicken egg cells that was originally obtained four years ago.
