This merger follows a successful technical collaboration that confirmed the compatibility of their respective production platforms. Through this acquisition, Ever After Foods gains access to Fishway’s aquatic cell lines, scientific expertise, and methods for creating animal-component-free growth media. The company also secured 2 million dollars in new funding to support the commercialization of its manufacturing infrastructure. The combined organization intends to utilize this integrated technology to produce protein ingredients, with an initial focus on the premium pet food market. Fishway’s headquarters in Belgium will remain an operational center for the company’s aquatic biology and media development efforts as the firm works toward industrial-scale protein production.
